Priyanka Chopra says daughter Malti has Princess inspired name for herself

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas' daughter Malti Marie is convinced she’s named after Disney royalty.

During a Tuesday, June 24, appearance on Good Morning America, Malti’s mom Priyanka shared that the three-year-old is "such a girly girl," and thinks she’s named after her favourite Disney character, Moana.

"She introduces herself as Malti Marie Moana Chopra Jonas. She insists she's Moana. She insists it's her name, like officially her name in school. She says, 'I'm Malti Marie Moana,' " Chopra revealed.

Sharing more about Malti’s love of all things girly, the Heads of State star said, "She loves coming into my closet, wearing my shoes, seeing my dresses."

"She was with us when we were getting dressed for the Met Gala, and she put on my gloves and my hat and she said, 'Mama and Gaga are going to a ball, just like Cinderella,' " she shared, noting that Malti calls Nick "Gaga."

In March, Nick shared that Malti demands to play Moana and Maui with him when he gets home.

“She wants to play Moana and Maui with me, and that means more to me than anything else, is that time with her. And just the fact that I'm just Dad when I'm home, it means a lot."

He gushed that the best part about being a dad is that "you could feel like your coolest self on top of the world, and she just doesn't care at all."

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas tied the knot in 2018 and welcomed Malti via surrogate in January 2022.
