Sir David Beckham’s wrist injury just got a positive update.

The 50-year-old soccer star, who was recently knighted by His Majesty, King Charles, underwent surgery to have his broken wrist repaired.

Forced to have surgery this week over an injury he sustained over 20 years ago while playing a friendly match between England and South Africa, was because his recent X-ray showed a screw that was used to patch up the problem at that time, now embedded in his forearm after it didn't dissolve properly.

However, he has returned back home after the successful surgery and has been gardening with his wife, Victoria.

The fashionista shared a video of him looking at cucumbers from their garden and captioned it, “Overperforming on the cucumber front Sir David.”

In the video, the former sportsman can be seen dressed casually, with his injured arm wrapped up in a sling.

An insider informed The Sun newspaper of David’s injury and reported, "David has been in pain for years but thought nothing of it. He just kept going until, in recent months, it became quite unbearable.”

"A routine scan showed that the pin which was meant to have dissolved, hadn't - so he was booked in to finally resolve the issue all these years later,” they added.

Explaining Victoria Beckham’s role in David’s suffering, the source mentioned, "Victoria was at his bedside post op and all went well. He's in great spirits."
