Queen Latifah urged Hollywood to stop fearing technology and begin to embrace it.

The Grammy Award winner attended the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah Thursday joined by many other A-listers.

Speaking at the festival’s opening In Conversation event, the American rapper-actress encouraged creatives to embrace innovations like AI rather than fearing it.

"The technology is coming and it's not going anywhere," the Girls Trip alum said.

"We need to figure out how to make it better because, as a person who comes from film…I can tell the difference. What I would like to see is us utilize the technology to tell interesting stories and utilize it to make it better.”

She emphasized that while AI can accelerate production, “Nothing will replace a human. Nothing will replace our experience and our wisdom.”

She reiterated her stance, “I would say live life to the fullest so that you can add what the technology is going to be able to help us do even quicker and make it more interesting."

Her statement came at the time when the debate on the use of AI is making rounds in the industry.

After showing resistance to the use of the latest technology, some people are now weighing its benefits.

James Cameron for example has changed his views about it.

Previously labelling it ‘the greatest danger to society’, he now sees it as a tool that could be of great use in filmmaking.

Many other names including Tom Hanks, Selena Gomez, Keanu Reeves, Drake, Elon Musk are among those names who have added to the ongoing discourse.
