Timothée Chalamet proved he still has every move of Soulja Boy’s Crank That memorised during an appearance at CCXP in São Paulo, Brazil, where he was promoting Marty Supreme.
The 29-year-old actor hit the stage in a green-and-yellow pullover and immediately launched into the iconic 2007 dance, drawing explosive cheers from the packed convention crowd.
Footage shared to X shows Chalamet confidently hitting the choreography as fans scream in recognition. In a separate clip, he strips off the pullover to reveal a gray hoodie stamped with “USA” on the back, tossing the jacket to a fan.
Moments later, he pulls off the hoodie too, throwing it into the audience to reveal a white tank top before greeting everyone with an enthusiastic, “Yeah.”
Chalamet’s affinity for the dance isn’t new. In December 2024, he ran through the routine on The Broski Report, showing host Brittany Broski how to hit the signature steps.
His love of dancing has followed him through multiple projects — Zendaya previously shared that the pair had hotel room dance parties while filming Dune, and Chalamet incorporated plenty of choreography into his performance as Willy Wonka in the 2023 musical film.
Long before his acting career took off, Chalamet even tried his hand at rapping. In 2012, he performed as Lil Timmy Tim at a school event at LaGuardia High School.
Chalamet is now on a press run for Marty Supreme, Josh Safdie’s film centered on Marty Mauser — a ping-pong prodigy with a dream “no one respects,” according to the official synopsis.
The character draws inspiration from real table-tennis legend Marty Reisman, who died in 2012.
Marty Supreme hits theaters December 25.
