‎In the wake of rising cyber sabotage on social media platforms, Instagram and Facebook parent, Meta, is making it easier to recover your hacked Instagram and Facebook accounts by introducing a new unified support hub.

‎Instagram's new security hub is available on both Android and iOS, providing a set of tools that allow users to report problems, secure their accounts and recover them after a hack.

‎It also includes an AI-powered search assistant to guide users through issues step by step.

‎The global rollout of this hub is expected in the near future, and indicates Meta’s remarkable strides to improve its support systems.

‎For years, users have complained about slow, confusing and often unresponsive help after losing access to their accounts, but this hub by Meta centralises support into one place in a bid to remove the hassle to navigate recovery options.

‎The Facebook maker claims it's latest AI-driven and behaviour-based security tools have already helped reduce new account hacks by more than 30%. It also reported an improvement in hacked-account recovery rates, suggesting that the updated protections are effective.

‎The update is essential for anyone who has ever worried about losing their Instagram or Facebook account — particularly creators, professionals and small businesses who rely on social media for work.

‎Meta is currently testing this new security hub on Facebook, and has plans to expand it to Instagram and potentially WhatsApp. This way, the tech giant seems to be setting a new standard for account support in the social media industry.
