Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce embrace super romantic New Year's Eve tradition

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce rang in the New Year with a major, heartfelt tradition.

Swift and Kelce, one of Hollywood’s busiest couples, whenever they get the opportunity, prefer to lay low and keep things grounded.

Looking back on their down-to-earth New Year tradition, an Insider told Page Six about what the lovebirds did when they celebrated it last year.

“[They] spent the days leading up to New Year’s in New York,” a source told the outlet. “But they flew back together to Kansas City on Monday.”

The tipster noted that they flew back to Kansas partly because Kelce's football schedule, he had Chiefs practice on December 30 and January 1.

Revealing their super romantic and relatable tradition, the insider added, “Taylor and Travis spent New Year’s Eve together in Kansas City and shared a kiss as soon as it hit midnight. It was very romantic.”

Last year, though it wasn't a good start for either of them, Swift walking out of the Grammys empty handed and Kelce’s team losing the Super Bowl, the couple made it through the tough time making it a memorable year.

Over the summer, they announced their engagement on August 26, 2025, with an internet-breaking post.

Swift also released her 13th studio album, Life of a Showgirl, which made waves across the globe, spending 11 weeks at number one on the Billboard 200 chart.

As for their wedding, Us Weekly has reported that the two are set to tie the knot over the summer.

“They don’t want a long engagement,” the source revealed, adding that the couple "very much want to start a family in the next year or so. Family means everything to them.”
