Zayn Malik shares how daughter Khai reacts to new songs

Zayn Malik revealed he gets his daughter Khai’s approval before releasing new music as she gives a brutally honest review.

In a new interview while promoting his upcoming album, titled KONNAKOL, the former One Direction star shared that his five year old daughter uses thumbs up or down to offer her feedback on his songs.

“There’s some songs, like I’ve said a few times that I don’t want to play to her because obviously there’s cuss words and stuff in there, concepts a bit adult, but she loves my music and she definitely gives me an opinion,” he shared. “You know, she does this thing where she does like thumbs up, thumbs down, thumb sideways and if you get a thumbs up and a thumb sideways, it means it’s pretty good.”

“She gave me a double thumbs up for a few songs and there was like a side one for one or two, I think, that she wasn’t really into,” the Dusk Till Dawn hitmaker explained how his baby girl judges his songs while speaking with SiriusXM’s The Pulse.

The 33-year-old singer recently released his latest single Sideways after Die For Me banger, both from his upcoming fifth solo studio album.

During the interview, Zayn also shared how he gained some cool “dad points” thanks to his collaboration song Eyes Closed with Blackpink star Jisoo.

He says Khai, whom he welcomed with former girlfriend Gigi Hadid, plays a big role in the decision and influences his music choice.

“She’s into TWICE. She’s into BLACKPINK, and that was kind of, you know, a big reason behind why I did the feature with Jisoo, if I’m being honest, because my daughter’s such a big fan, and I wanted to be cool, you know,” he dished.
