Scott Mills is back in the spotlight after his sudden exit from BBC and now a new name has stepped in to take over one of his expected roles.
The 53-year-old presenter was all set to host the podcast Race Across the World The Detour, especially after winning the celebrity version of the show with his husband Sam Vaughn.
However, things took an unexpected turn at the last moment when BBC announced that Tyler West will now be hosting the podcast instead, with the first episode arriving on 2 April.
The giant platform said in a press release, "Broadcaster, DJ and Celebrity Race Across the World contestant Tyler West will host the new video podcast Race Across the World: The Detour. The podcast will also feature series four winner Alfie Watts, sharing his top travel tips and hacks.
Race Across the World: The Detour will be available on BBC iPlayer and BBC Sounds immediately after the new series airs. The weekly video podcast will be the TV show’s younger, wilder sibling, charting the ups and downs of the new series."
For now, it is still not clear who will take over Scott’s slot on Radio 2.
Moreover, while speaking out after the news came out, Scott shared that he fully cooperated with a past investigation and described the situation as “rumour and speculation” while also asking for privacy.
