Patrick Muldoon sent a significant message to his family group chat only a day before his sudden demise at the age of 57, and his sister Shana Muldoon Zappa, shared it with the world.

Zappa took to Instagram on Wednesday, April 22, and shared the video alongside a caption which read, “This was the last video my brother sent to our constant family group chat — from Sat night at LACMA opening.”

The actor was giving a tour of an art gallery that he was visiting, saying, “It’s a beautiful painting,” as he recalled a chant from his football days at high school.

“I think that’s what he was thinking in the picture, actually,” the Melrose Place star joked in the video.

The grieving sister shared in the caption that her brother “loved St. Ignatius because he was kind of the cool guy, good time guy who was still able to become a saint.”

Zappa continued, “As always, he jokes… and yet profoundly brings all things into one moment- the joke-ster, the artist, the football player, and the intensely spiritually connected, Jesuit educated, incredible being that is Patrick Muldoon.”

The writer and designer called her late brother her “best friend” as well as “The best brother / son/ uncle/ anyone could ever possibly ask for. I will have so much more to share as I know he loves this earthly realm and all he created within it.”

As for the final processions of the actor’s life, Zappa shared that she will “eventually have details on when and where” they will celebrate Muldoon.
