Duke of Kent joined by family for touching concert honouring his late wife

It was, in many ways, a fitting tribute to the late Duchess of Kent, with young musicians at the heart of an evening devoted to her enduring passion for music.

Members of the Kent family gathered at Sinfonia Smith Square in London on Sunday for a special concert celebrating the legacy of the Duchess, who co-founded the charity Future Talent to help gifted young musicians from low-income backgrounds.

Her husband, the Duke of Kent, 90, was among those attending, accompanied by his younger brother, Prince Michael of Kent, 84.

Princess Alexandra was also present, with the Court Circular confirming her attendance at the performance.

The evening brought together several generations of the family, including all three of the late Duchess's children. Lady Helen Taylor, the Earl of St Andrews and Lord Nicholas Windsor. 

Her granddaughters, Lady Marina Windsor and Lady Amelia Windsor, were also there, alongside Lord Freddy Windsor, son of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, and his wife, Sophie Winkleman.

Throughout her life, the Duchess championed music and devoted much of her time to encouraging young people to develop their talents.

That passion was reflected in Sunday's performance, which was organised by Future Talent and featured students and alumni of the charity. 

The concert was hosted by presenter Alexander Armstrong.
