Coleen Rooney reveals how Wagatha Christie ‘stripped' her of herself

Coleen Rooney opened up about Wagatha Christie drama and admitted that the whole experience “broke” her.

The long running feud began in 2019 when Coleen accused Rebekah Vardy of sharing stories about her private life with the press.

Vardy denied the claim and later took Coleen to court. The case ended in Coleen’s favour in 2022, but she says the experience was much harder than people may have realised.

Coleen said the situation made her question people around her. Some friends even worried that she might think they were behind the leaks.

“It was a horrible situation to be in and it totally stripped me of my personality,” she said.

The biggest pain, however, came from how the court case affected her family life.

Coleen said she was with her family physically, but her mind was often somewhere else.

“Presence with my family. That was the biggest thing I felt so guilty about, was not being present,” she said.

“This broke me as a person. It stripped my personality.”

Coleen also said she never wanted the matter to go to court and wished it could have been dealt with privately.

Vardy has continued to deny the accusations and said she will not apologise for something she says she did not do.
