Queen Letizia brings floral glamour to grand welcome for Macron in Spain

Queen Letizia brought a burst of colour to Tuesday’s official welcome for French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, in Spain.

The Spanish royal looked every inch the elegant host as she joined the French First Lady for the welcoming ceremony marking the start of the President’s state visit.

Letizia opted for a lilac midi dress covered in colourful floral detailing, creating a contrast with Brigitte’s vibrant Barbie pink suit.

The pair made a stylish combination as they stood alongside their husbands for the formal proceedings.

Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace

Meanwhile, a familiar royal tradition will take place at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday 30 September, with the Changing of the Guard set to feature a special military line-up.

26 Engineer Regiment will take part in the ceremony, with musical support provided by the Band of the Welsh Guards and the Band of the Grenadier Guards.
