Princess Kate beams as she leaves with flowers and message of support

A cheerful moment was captured as the Princess waved goodbye with a broad smile, clutching a colourful bouquet of flowers. 

Her forest-green blazer stood out against the dark doorway, while her long brunette hair fell loosely down her back as she turned to acknowledge the crowd.

The Prince and Princess of Wales continued their visit in Leeds by meeting people at the heart of the city’s rugby community, including Leeds Rhinos CEO Jamie Jones-Buchanan MBE.

The couple also met families affected by motor neurone disease (MND), hearing about the challenges they have faced and the support that has helped them through difficult times.

After surprising Sir Kevin, William and Kate joined him on the pitch to learn more about the challenge and the cause behind it.

“What you're doing is so inspiring – the unity that you're building,” Catherine told Sir Kevin.

William then offered a few words of encouragement as the gruelling challenge approached, telling him: “Make sure you hold yourself together for another few days.”

Before leaving, Kate, who serves as patron of the Rugby Football League, had a message for the players preparing to represent their countries at the League World Cup next month, wishing them luck ahead of the tournament.
