Kerry Washington has discovered there is one thing Ben Affleck simply will not do for her—and apparently, TikTok is where he draws the line.
The actress gave fans a hilarious behind-the-scenes look at her Animals co-star and director in a new Instagram reel promoting their upcoming Netflix crime thriller.
In the clip, Affleck tells Washington he would do anything for her. So naturally, she tests that promise.
When Washington asks him to make a “TikTok Video,” Affleck immediately gets up and walks away. No debate. No negotiation. Just a very clear exit.
“Ben would do anything for me. Except go on social media and promote our new movie Animals. On @netflix October 9th. Maybe one day.... - Kerry Washington,” she captioned the video.
Honestly, it may be the most Affleck-style promotional strategy possible.
Animals follows Mark Kimball, played by Affleck, whose son is kidnapped.
With most of the family’s money tied up in his political campaign, Mark and his wife have only hours to raise the ransom—and are forced to venture into a side of their lives they never expected to reveal.

Affleck directs the film and co-wrote the screenplay with Connor O. McIntyre and Billy Ray. Washington, Gillian Anderson, Adriana Paz, Luis Gerardo Méndez and Steven Yeun also star.
The film arrives on Netflix October 9.
For Washington, promoting the movie apparently means getting in front of the camera. For Affleck? It seems there’s a TikTok-shaped boundary—and he’s sticking to it.
