Prince William made a special video statement about a cause close to Princess Kate's heart.

The Prince of Wales appeared in a pre-recorded message, joining the family and friends of Dame Deborah James, who passed away in 2022 following a six-year battle with stage 4 bowel cancer.

William praised her as an "amazing woman" and commended her Bowelbabe Fund for Cancer Research UK, which has achieved remarkable progress in research over the past few years.

Appearing on a big screen, William shared, "What struck me was Deborah’s positivity and humour in the face of adversity – what she liked to call 'rebellious hope.'"

Addressing the family and friends of Dame Deborah James, the future King added, "Tonight would have been Deborah’s 45th birthday, and I know she would have wanted everyone dancing, celebrating and making memories.
