Signboards banned for three months in Karachi

KARACHI: Karachi Municipal Corporation (KMC) has banned installing all kinds of signboards, billboards and hoardings in the city for the next three months, Geo News reported Wednesday.

After a meeting on Tuesday, KMC Administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed said that improper signboards are affecting the image of Karachi and the continuous addition of hoardings creates disturbance for the pedestrians as well.

He ordered to take off all the hoardings on Shahrah e Faisal, Shahrah e Qaideen and Shahrah e Pakistan that were not sold. He also called for the immediate removal of substandard signboards in the city.
