ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court has directed National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to arrest former chairman of Oil and Gas Regulation Authority (OGRA) and present him before the court by December 26, Geo News reported.
A three-member bench headed by Justice Jawwad S Khawaja heard OGRA implementation case here on Wednesday.
According to details, Justice Jawwad S Khawaja said that if Anti Terrorism Cell of police cannot arrest Tauqir Sadiq so how could they catch terrorists.
During the hearing, Justice Khawaja remarked that the case is of Rs 80 billions embezzlement and NAB complains that IGs do not cooperate in arresting Tauqir Sadiq.
Sadiq's corruption caused Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) crisis, if it is the performance of police then Anti terrorism cell should be closed. Police should tell the public to protect themselves by having a Kalashnikov, he added.
