ISLAMABAD: Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rahman, Monday termed the offer of peace talks from Taliban militants as positive, Geo News reported.
“A jirga ( tribal elders' court) can be extremely helpful in striking a ceasefire deal with Taliban”, said he talking to newsmen outside Parliament.
Fazl said he would strongly suggest the government, the military leadership, and political parties endorse the involvement of tribal elders in the negotiations with Taliban fighters.
