KARACHI: The police made further headway in Abbas Town blast investigation, Geo News reported.
The police said that the vehicle and explosive material for wreaking havoc in the Karachi neighborhood was brought from Hub.
Chaudhry Aslam, SSP of CID department of the Karachi police, said the terrorists failed in their first attempt to detonate the bomb and exploded the huge quantity of explosive through pressing the button of remote control in the second attempt.
The officer said as many as six terrorists were arrested in connection with the horrific bombing which claimed almost 50 lives and destroying several residential buildings.
Chaudhry Aslam said two out of the six accused identified as Inamullah and Bashir aka Champoo were also involved in carrying out three blasts in other parts of the metropolis in the past.
