MIANWALI: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chief Mian Nawaz Sharif has termed May 11, the day of general elections, as the day to decide Pakistan’s destiny.
Addressing a public meeting in Mianwali Sunday‚ the PML-N chief said that development of far-flung areas is top priority of his party.
He said if voted to power, basic infrastructure would be improved in backward districts.
Nawaz Sharif said that power crisis has worsened the life of common man and during the last five years‚ Pakistan People’s Party-led government did not take any step to provide relief to the country’s masses.
Later, addressing another electoral rally in Islamabad Nawaz Sharif vowed to put everything at stake for bringing a change in the condition of the masses.
He said he never bargained over the country’s pride and honour. “Not only did I play cricket but also performed nuclear test and built the motorway. God willing, we will also start a bullet train in the country,” he maintained.
Nawaz said the metro bus service will also be started between Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
He held former military dictator Pervez Musharraf responsible for loadshedding in Pakistan.
