ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari had written a secret letter to Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Fakhrudin G Ibrahim on April 30 and expressed concerns over security situation and Taliban attacks on three political parties, Geo News reported.
In the letter, the president had expressed concerns over security situation and continued attacks on Pakistan People’s Party, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Awami National Party (ANP) by the Taliban.
President Zardari had also stated in the letter about concerns of PPP Parliamentarians over partiality of some Election Commission’s officials.
The letter further says that if the situation was not controlled it would have serious consequences.
A source at President House said, a copy of the letter was also sent to Caretaker Prime Minister Mir Hazar Khan Khoso.
