ISLAMABAD: Adviser to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs, Sartaj Aziz on Monday said that only an announcement of 34-state alliance was made and Pakistan is awaiting further details to reach a decision in this regard.
Giving a policy statement in Senate, Sartaj Aziz said Pakistan wants political solution to Yemen crisis, adding that the present government has been strictly following the policy of non-interference in other countries.
Chairman Senate on the occasion asked, ‘doesn't this 34-state coalition give an impression to Yemen that this alliance was made against them?’
He said Pakistan has adopted a principled stance on the situation in the Middle East.
Commenting on Afghanistan reconciliation process, the Foreign Affairs adviser said the government has conveyed a clear message to Kabul that Pakistan sees no one as its favorite.
