DSP Banaras Circle told Geo News that the gunmen attacked the police check post near Abbas Terminal on Ring Road where the policemen were performing their duty. Three gunmen riding two motorcycles attacked the police check post and escaped after the attack.
Following the attack, the police launched a search operation in the area.
The bodies of the deceased policemen Sajan and Usman were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital.
