Police claimed that they opened fire after they signaled the vehicle to stop but the man accelerated it in opposite direction as a result he was killed in Matni area.
Police also claimed that the young man tried to escape after getting off the vehicle during which he was killed.
The body of deceased has been shifted to Leady Reading Hospital (LRH) for legal formalities.
