PESHAWAR: Jamiat Ulema-I-Islam chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has urged the ‘establishment’ to clarify that it was not backing any movement in the country.
Speaking to media here on Wednesday, he said that the army should not be indulged in politics.
He lamented that the army didn’t express sympathy over an attack in which he was targeted.
The cleric said that the ‘establishment’ will have to talk to him. Responding to a question, he said that there would be no mid term election in Pakistan while Imran Khan’s future was dark.
Fazl said that he would persuade all the political parties for the patronage of people of Pakistan’s tribal region.
He accused Islamic University of arranging Israel’s cultural show at the campus which he said was being headed by a figure having links with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
The JUI-F chief also demanded of the authorities to send the IDPs back to their homes in the areas that have been cleared by the security forces.
