Lahore: Residential area chemical warehouse fire doused
LAHORE: The fire, which had broken out in a chemical warehouse at Delhi Gate yesterday night here, has been finally doused in the wee hours Saturday after prolonged hectic efforts of the Fire Brigades, but the question still remains unanswered that who allowed/connived setting up of a chemical godown in the residential colony, Geo News reported.

A large number of people from the locality were evacuated to save their lives, who in this holy month of Ramazan passed their night on the nearby roads, while as many as ten vehicles of Fire Brigade continued fighting the blazing fire overnight.

The area police after registering an FIR have arrested the owners of the warehouse Imran, Babar, and Aamir. Besides, DCO, Nasim Sadiq has announced that the chemical warehouses would be shifted far away from the residential localities.

But the question arises why these chemical godowns are allowed operating in residential colonies and why none took notice of it thus far?
