Blasts hit railway tracks in Hyderabad, Nawabshah
HYDERABAD: Railway service was partially suspended and later restored after two blasts ripped through railway tracks in Hyderabad and Nawabshah simultaneously.

Police have cordoned off the areas and boosted security of the railway tracks. No causalities were reported in both the explosions.

Railway sources said the powerful explosion partially damaged the down track in Latifabad No.3 area of Hyderabad. Rail service was suspended for some time and later it was restored.

Separately, the up track was damaged and rail service was partially halted after an explosion near Nawaz Dahri railway station in Nawabshah. Lahore-bound Pakistan Express was to come on the track at 5:00PM from Karachi.

Meanwhile, SSP Umer Tufail has claimed that police have arrested a terrorist red-handed while planting explosives at the railway track near Kandhkot. Police have also seized huge quantity of explosive material from his possession.

The accused has affiliation with banned outfit and is involved in several railway track blasts, he added.
