India violates ceasefire at LoC thrice in one day

MUZAFFARABAD: After violating the Line of Control (LoC) at Iftikharabad and Neza Pir earlier today, Indian forces again resorted to unprovoked firing in Kailer sector on Monday afternoon, ISPR said.

Pakistani troops are befittingly responding to Indian firing, ISPR said in a statement.

Indian forces carried out unprovoked firing across the LoC at Neza Pir sector earlier today. The firing started at 11:30 am. The Pakistan Army promptly responded with retaliatory firing, ISPR said.

Indian forces had also violated the LoC in Iftikharabad early Monday morning, continuing unprovoked firing until 4 am. Pakistan Army had befittingly responded to the Indian aggression, according to ISPR.

According to sources, Indian forces had targeted villages named Natir Mandela and Madarpur in Battal sector.

No loss of life or property has been reported so far.

India has violated the ceasefire agreement thrice in three days, the Foreign Office said in a statement.

On Sunday armed men fired on a military camp in Indian Occupied Kashmir, killing one soldier, Indian media claimed.

One paramilitary officer was also injured during the firing by an unknown number of attackers in Baramulla town, northwest of the Himalayan region’s main city of Srinagar.
