PM Imran chairs federal cabinet meeting

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan is currently chairing a meeting of the federal cabinet.

A 20-point agenda is under discussion during the meeting being held at the Prime Minister’s Office.

The cabinet members began the meeting by offering prayers for slain former MNA Ali Raza Abidi and extended condolences over the demise of Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Noorul Haq Qadri's father.

The cabinet will accord approval for a health agreement with Palestine, according to sources. “The appointment of National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) chairman and members is also on the agenda,” the sources said.

“Approval is also likely to be granted for a supplementary grant for the Pakistan Steel Mills and a special Rs5 million grant for Federal Investigation Agency (FIA),” sources added. “Renewal of licenses of mobile phone companies is also part of the agenda,” they further said.
