ABBOTTABAD: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Wednesday removed examination controllers of Kohat, Bannu and Abbottabad boards for failing to prevent paper leaks and cheating during the ongoing Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations.

The controllers were removed from their posts by the provincial education adviser following an inquiry into complaints of paper leaks and cheating by candidates, said a notification issued by the KP Elementary and Secondary Education Department (E&SED).

On Monday, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Abbottabad, cancelled the matriculation exam for Physics over paper leak after the exam began. The exam for the subject was rescheduled for Wednesday (today).

Meanwhile in Sindh, Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah suspended Hyderabad and Sukkur boards’ controllers of examination on Monday over reports of widespread cheating and paper leaks.

Masroor Ahmed Zair and Abdul Sami Soomro, examination controllers of the Hyderabad and Sukkur boards, respectively, were suspended after the chief minister took notice of cheating reported from various centres across Sindh.
