COLOMBO: New Zealand were 298-5 in their first innings at lunch on the second day of the second and final Test against Sri Lanka at the P. Sara Oval in Colombo on Monday.
Daniel Flynn was unbeaten on six at the break with debutant Todd Astle two not out. Ross Taylor (142) and Kane Williamson (135) fell in the morning session.
Left-arm spinner Rangana Herath has taken two wickets for 57 runs off 32 overs.
Sri Lanka lead the series 1-0 following their 10-wicket win in the first Test in Galle.
