Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick will officially reprise their roles for A Simple Favor sequel.
On Wednesday, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that the duo will be starring in part 2 of Paul Feig’s 2018 dark comedy.
According to a synopsis, A Simple Favor 2 sees the “return of Stephanie Smothers, played by Anna, and Emily Nelson, played by Blake, as they head to the beautiful island of Capri, Italy, for Emily's extravagant wedding to a rich Italian businessman.”
The outlet further added, “Along with the glamorous guests, expect murder and betrayal to RSVP for a wedding with more twists and turns than the road from the Marina Grande to the Capri town square.”
Anna recently told E! News that she’s excited about the sequel and for her role of Stephanie as she thinks the character has “got a little bit more savvy in her but she's still Stephanie at the end of the day.”
“I've actually read the script now and it's so good,” the 37-year-old actress told the outlet.
Other than the titular duo, Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, Bashir Salahuddin, Joshua Satine, Ian Ho and Kelly McCormack will also be reprising their roles for the film.
Amazon MGM Studios also confirmed that the sequel, which will be co-produced by Lions Gate, and will kick start production this spring and will stream on Prime Video as well.
