Kenan Thompson talks 'Quiet on Set' and working with Dan Schneider

Kenan Thompson, All That alum recently talked about the Quiet on Set documentary allegations and his time working with Dan Schneider at Nickelodeon. 

Kenan Thompson worked on shows like All That and other series like Kenan & Kel in the 1990s which as produced by Dan Schneider.

On the latest episode of the Tamron Hall Show on Wednesday, the former All That star said, “It’s tough for me. I can’t really speak on things that I never witnessed; you know what I’m saying?”

The 45-year-old comedian noted that many of the allegations and accusations of workplace misconduct against producer Dan Schneider, occurred after he left the network, “Because all these things happened after I left basically.”

Thompson revealed he had not interacted that much with Dan, he stated, “Dan [Schneider] wasn’t really on Kenan and Kel like that, I mean, he got a ‘created by’ credit but it was a different showrunner, so our worlds weren't overly overlapping like that outside of All That necessarily.”

Thompson, also showed sympathy to former Nickelodeon kids who endured the toxic work environment and said, “My heart goes out to anybody that’s been victimized, or their families.”

The Saturday Night Live cast member also demanded further investigation into the allegations by saying, “Investigate more, it’s supposed to be a safe place for kids. And to hear all about that is just like, ‘How dare you?’”

Before concluding Kenan also opened up about feeding emotional from watching the ID docuseries and added, “It’s definitely tough to watch because I have fond memories of that place and I have fond memories of my co-stars and stuff like that. So, to hear that they’ve gone through terrible things like that, it’s just really tough,” he added.
