Emma Stone reunites with Yorgos Lanthimos in Kinds of Kindness

Emma Stone and Yorgos Lanthimos, the Oscar winning duo, reunited in the film Kinds of Kindness which is set to release on June 21.

On Wednesday Searchlight Pictures released the first trailer featuring Emma Stone, who recently won her second Oscars Award for her role in Poor Things.

In the recently revealed 46-second trailer of the film, Stone can be seen driving a purple car. 

The trailer showed the cast including Willem Dafoe, Margaret Qualley, Jesse Plemons, Hong Chau, Joe Alwyn, Mamoudou Athie, and Hunter Schaefer

Oscar-nominated director Yorgos Lanthimos co-wrote the script for Kinds of Kindness with Efthimis Filippou, who have previously collaborated for the films The Lobster, Killing of a Sacred Deer and Dogtooth.

The official synopsis of the film is, "Kinds of Kindness is a triptych fable, following a man without choice who tries to take control of his own life; a policeman who is alarmed that his wife who was missing-at-sea has returned and seems a different person; and a woman determined to find a specific someone with a special ability, who is destined to become a prodigious spiritual leader.”

For those unversed Stone’s previous film Poor Things, won four Oscars at the 96th Academy Awards, which was nominated for a total of 11 Oscars.
