Jelly Roll catapulted to success with THIS song

Jelly Roll gained fame in the genre of country music with his song, Son of a Sinner, however, his journey started off from an entirely different field of music.

The Grammy nominated artist was not always a country music singer, in fact his first song that ever earned him the aforementioned honour was a rap, hip-hop song.

Jelly Roll released Save Me on June 25, 2020, as a single from his studio album Self Medicated.

Currently up for three awards at the upcoming CMT Awards, he catapulted to success after the American country music artist, Lainey Wilson collaborated with him on the official remix of the song, released on May 12, 2023, as the second single from his album, Whitsitt Chapel.

Jelly Roll addressed his song, saying, "This one is a little bit of a curveball for me. I don't usually do these stripped-down acoustic videos, but writing this song made me feel something and I felt y'all needed some insight into the more vulnerable side of the music business."

Ever since then, Jelly Roll’s career has only been sky rocketing as he attended his first ever award show by CMT and won three awards at the ceremony.
