Jeremy Renner is back in action after recovering from the 2023 New Year’s Eve accident.

The Paramount+ series marked Renner’s acting comeback, with the release of season 3 trailer for Mayor of Kingstown on Thursday, which premieres on June 2.

In the first trailer of action-packed Mayor of Kingstown season 3, Jeremy Renner transforms into Mike McLusky as he fights with the forces of good and evil.

The trailer begins with Jeremy's voice saying, “Five percent of people are truly good. Five percent are evil."

Jeremy continued saying, “The rest of us, we wrestle between the two -- who we are, what we are, what we're willing to do.”

The 53-year-old Oscar nominee, who recently celebrated one year of recovery, was critically injured by a snowplow accident near his home.

The season logline is, “a series of explosions rock Kingstown and its citizens, as a new face of the Russian mob sets up shop in the city, and a drug war rages inside and outside prison walls. The pressure is on Mike McLusky (Renner) to end the war, but things get complicated when a familiar face from his incarcerated past threatens to undermine the Mayor’s attempts to keep the peace among all factions.”

In January of 2024, he even took it to Instagram and shared an insight from the set with the caption, “Day one on set ... nervous today."

He continued, "Hope this works out that I can ACTUALLY pull this off for our production and more importantly for the fans.”

In February Renner talked about his recovery with Entertainment Tonight and said, “[I'm doing] probably 90 percent of all the things I needed to be doing... I think another six months will be hopefully running [more]... I got to set goals for myself. I'll do whatever I can... whatever it takes to get better, to get stronger.”

For those unversed Renner’s accident occurred while he was trying to save his nephew, who was stuck in the snow but he himself was ran over by 14,300-pound snow instead.

Due to this incident his 38 bones were broken, and with the help of some metal bindings his ribcage was rebuilt including a metal plate on his face as well as a titanium rod in one of his legs.
