Billy Ray Cyrus and his wife Firerose, just released their musical collaboration on the song, After the Storm, on March 29, 2024.
The married couple, who tied the knot in October 2023, launched their first duet of the year on Firerose’s official YouTube channel,
The downtempo acoustic track, co-written by Cyrus, Firerose and Paul Duncan, revolve around the concept of having faith to see circumstances in a positive light for the sake of a better future following a difficult period of time.
In an exclusive conversation with PEOPLE magazine, Cyrus explained how the song's meaning resonates deeply, stating, "The message in 'After the Storm' is so powerful and timely,"
"It’s one of the most prolific songs I have ever been a part of. I hope it does for your spirit what it has done for mine," the former Hannah Montana star added.
Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose became songwriting partners during the pandemic after years of friendship. They started dating in 2022, getting engaged later that year and then marrying each other in 2023.
