Ernie Hudson reacts to the praise he has been receiving for his fitness at the age of 79.

The Ghostbusters actor recently appeared for a photocall for the franchise’s new movie Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire in London. Ernie shared that he had to ditch his suit jacket because it got dirty, and ended up showing in a tight black t-shirt and jeans.

The pictures from the event went viral on social media, with netizens drooling over Ernie’s timeless charm.

“Man looks better and healthier than folks half his age,” wrote one netizen. Implying that Ernie isn’t aging, another penned, “He might be a Highlander.”

When PEOPLE asked the veteran actor about his reaction to the “thirst comments,” he replied, “It’s nice to be noticed. It’s been a little bit of a surprise in the last couple of days.”

Ernie, who happens to be a two-time cancer survivor, also shared his secret behind looking dapper.

“I've always tried to be healthy. My career hasn't been about focusing on my physicality. The most important thing for me is just to try to maintain your health, just common-sense stuff,” he shared.
