Dua Lipa receives major gig ahead of new album release

Dua Lipa is seemingly experimenting with different gigs to explore her hidden talents.

As fans will know, the Houdini songstress has tried on different roles like walking for Versace and debuting as an actress in Greta Gerwig’s Barbie apart from singing in recent years.

Now, as per the findings of Variety, Dua Lipa will be hosting Saturday Night Live right after the release of her new album Radical Optimism.

The announcement comes after the Albanian-British songstress dropped her latest single, Illusion.

In a recent chat with Kiss’s Jordan & Perri, Dua also revealed why she chose Illusion to be her next track.

The singing sensation said on the matter, “‘Illusion’ I did think about because it's so bouncy and fun,” adding, “And it does feel summery in so many ways that I thought purposefully that I wanted this song to come ‘on album.’”

The rumored girlfriend of Callum Turner also remarked before conclusion, “Or just as I'm about to release the album to take us into the summer. So I guess in some ways I did think about it in that way and it's nice when someone goes, oh, there's the Song Of The Summer."
