Jelly Roll is known for the warmest hugs he gives out apart from his relatable country and rock genre songs.
Ever since the artist became known for his passionate and rather strong embraces, Kelsea Ballerini hosted a segment at the 2024 CMT Music Awards where the Son of A Sinner crooner offered hugs to celebrities in the crowd.
After he wrapped his arms around the lucky celebrities, namely, Gayle King, Ashley McBryde and Cody Johnson, Jelly Roll opened up about what makes his hugs so special.
The 39-year-old artist had an exclusive conversation with PEOPLE, where he said, "I'm a big hugger in real life, and that's how they wrote that skit, which I thought was cool because I do overly hug people sometimes.”
"I'm kind of like a big, aggressive bear that just comes in hot. I used to think people would hate me for that, and the fact that they love me for it is really cool," the Need A Favor singer added.
Jelly Roll and his hugs earned recognition previously, when the artist appeared on this year's iteration of Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest where the Save Me hit-maker could be seen hugging and picking up Seacrest.
