Mariah Carey just celebrated her friend, Da Brat on her birthday and expressed affection for the rapper.

Da Brat, who is originally known as Shawntae Harris-Dupart, turned 50 on April 14 this year.

Carey has been Da Brat’s longtime collaborator shared a message for the new mom on the show, Dish Nation, which is co-hosted by Da Brat.

The Emotions singer’s pre-recorded video message was posted by a fan on X, formerly Twitter.

She kicked off the message by singing an unreleased song that Carey said producer L.T. Hutton had “lost.”

“I love you so much, happy birthday. They told me the number. I don't do numbers. I don't know what it is, have no recollection of any of it,” said Carey, who affectionately referred to Da Brat as “TatTat” in the video.

Mariah Carey, who wore a black dress that sparkled in the monochromatic hued video, concluded the message with, “Just wanted to say I love you so much, you are the world's best. Kisses and love from your BFF.”

“That was beautiful. Oh Sug, I love you, MC,” replied a rather enthusiastic Da Brat.
