Bob Odenkirk, who experienced a medical emergency on the set of his AMC drama Better Call Saul, shared a ‘funny’ story about the tragic experience.

On the latest episode of Multiple Talking Women podcast, the hosts (who play friends with different views on social topics) were discussing medics and if they can keep you ‘safe’.

Adding his two cents to the conversation, Odenkirk shared a ‘funny’ story about his 2021 experience recalling how his heart “pretty much stopped”.

“It slowed down to a point where I turned gray and stopped breathing”, the screenwriter remembered.

However, while the actor was struggling or life, he revealed that a medic saw him but instead of providing necessary treatment, he “froze in his tracks”.

“He said, ‘Oh no’ and I didn’t move”, the actor recalled saying before he passed out.

Nonetheless, the Breaking Bad actor also revealed that the medic apologized to him when he returned two weeks after the incident and revealed that it was his first day.

“Weeks later when I came back, he said, ‘I’m so sorry. It was my first day. I have been a firefighter’, he was retired”, unveiling that he had never done CPR on anyone before and hence panicked at the moment.

“Thank God you lived because that guy would have been pretty messed up for the rest of his life if you hadn’t, you now”, quipped a host.

For those unaware, the 61-year-old actor had a “small heart attack” while filming the acclaimed TV show’s sixth season and was rushed to a hospital.

Nonetheless he resumed filming after almost a month-long recovery with the series finale airing in the following year.
