Anne Hathaway shares her condition for doing rom-coms

Anne Hathaway recently opened up about her new project, The Idea of You.

As fans will know, the Devil Wears Prada alum plays the character of Solène, a single mother who kicks off her relationship with a boy band member Hayes, played by Nicholas Galitzine, after meeting him at Coachella, in her newest rom-com movie. 

Spilling the beans on what she ideally looks in a room-com flick, Anne revealed in an interview with Stellar, “I love making movies that have a bit of romance in them, but it can be hard to find ones that you believe and feel like they tap into something true."

“There was something about Solène and Hayes and their love that did feel true.” she admitted.

“We wanted to make a movie that would make audiences feel wonderful by telling a story about people who are a pleasure to know and are fun to watch together,” the actress also added.

“The truth that is emerging from this moment is that it’s not necessarily who they are or how they look or how they present or any of those things. It’s just about love,” she remarked before moving on to a new topic.
