O.J. Simpson reportedly wanted to live more in order to spend time with his family.

On 11th April, 2024, the former NFL player, who was accused of a double murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman, passed away following years-long battle against prostrate cancer.

In a latest chat with Us Weekly, the felon’s attorney Malcolm LaVergne spilled the beans on his final moments.

Revealing the sportsman’s last words, he shared with the outlet, “The only thing I heard him [say] at the end, he just wanted a couple more years.”

He went on to disclose that O.J. Simpson was not ready for his death yet as “he wanted to see his oldest grandchild go to school.”

“That would’ve been icing on the cake for him. But he never got there. But he had everything else,” he also added.

Malcolm also shared that towards the end of his life Simpson once told him, “I’m not going to die in a hospital. I don’t know what’s going on here, but I’ll take my chances at home.”

He added that after these words he decided to enter his client “into a hospice plan and went home.”

In conclusion, he also declared, “The thing that made O.J. the happiest at the end was that he was a grandfather and he got to see, spend time and play with his grandkids.”
