Sydney Sweeney claps back at Carol Baum's negative remarks

Sydney Sweeney has responded to negative comments made by producer Carol Baum.

According to Variety report, Baum criticized the Euphoria actress' acting and appearance, labelling her as 'not pretty' during the discussion in Pleasantville.

Baum's remarks specifically targeted Sweeney's romantic comedy, Anyone But You, calling it 'unwatchable.'

However, in response to her comments, Sweeney's representative shared a statement with the outlet, expressing disappointment.

The statement stated, "How sad that a woman in the position to share her expertise and experience chooses instead to attack another woman."

"If that’s what she’s learned in her decades in the industry and feels is appropriate to teach to her students, that’s shameful. To unjustly disparage a fellow female producer speaks volumes about Ms. Baum’s character," it further stated.

According to reports, Carol Baum is now expressing regret over her statements, wishing she had never made them.

Sydney Sweeney continues to see success in her career as she recently produced and starred in the indie horror film Immaculate, following the commercial success of Anyone but You, which earned $218 million worldwide.
