Josh Charles breaks silence on secrecy around Taylor Swift video cameo

Josh Charles and Ethan Hawke reunited for a cameo in Taylor Swift music video of Fortnight, from her album The Tortured Poets Department.

The cameo was kept under wraps until the video's release on April 19, 2024, adding an element of surprise for fans and followers.

Charles, famous for his role alongside Hawke in the 1989 film Dead Poets Society, shared his experience on Instagram.

Revealing the challenge of keeping secret, he wrote in caption, "Little debrief about yesterday: I don’t like keeping secrets so that was hard. I didn’t even tell my kids until the other day!"

Referring to the selfie posted with Hawke from the airport, he added, "Here’s a couple of tortured old poets about to board an early flight to be pop stars for a day. Been through a lot with this dude over the years, but safe to say this was a most memorable day."

"We were treated with such class by Taylor and her crew from beginning to end. What I’ll remember most was the laughter. There was a lot of it. Like we were 17 all over again. #TSTTPD" he further wrote.
