Candace Cameron Bure admits she was left heartbroken over the dark side of kids TV revealed in Quiet on Set.

Speaking candidly with E! News, the American actress expressed her dismay before calling the series ‘difficult’ to watch.

“It absolutely broke my heart. It made me so sad for the people that had such terrible experiences”, she noted.

For Cameron Bure, this hits close to home as she herself rose to stardom at just 11 years old through her iconic role as D.J. Tanner in the beloved 1987 sitcom and while her own journey was fortunately untainted, she cannot help but empathize with the victims.

The now 48-year-old also shared her thoughts and mentioned the possibility of other fresh faces who might have gotten abused in ways other than physical, before calling the entire situation ‘just horrible'.

The Full House star also stepped up to offer some advice for the up-and-coming artist. Emphasizing the importance of having someone around to ‘protect’, she added, “Just be careful of everyone else’s motives because they’re not always [in] your best interest”.

The mother of three also suggested newcomers stop playing the ‘comparison game’ and explained, “You gotta just own who you are and be secure with yourself”.
