Sylvester Stallone looked back at one of his breakthrough roles as Stanley Rosiello in The Lord of Flatbush.

Celebrating 50th anniversary of the iconic film, the now 77-year-old starred in the movie alongside Paul Mace, Henry Winkler and Perry King.

He shared three snaps from the flick on his Instagram account and penned a heartfelt caption, “Reflecting on 50 incredible years since The Lords of Flatbush took to the big screen”, before branding the films as “a journey of friendship, growth, and passion”.

The BAFTA Award winner expressed, “I'm grateful for the friendships forged and the timeless experiences shared".

“Here's to half a century of cherished moments and lifelong bonds”, the father of five concluded.

The said feature set in 1958, was a coming-of-age story that revolves around the lives of four middle-lower-class Brooklyn boys who form a street gang dubbed The Lords of Flatbush.

Helmed by Stephen F. Verona and Martin Davidson, the movie focuses on the four boys as they spend their days getting into trouble and eventually mature.

Nonetheless, the screenplay marked a significant event in Stallone’s life as he was said to have been on the verge of quitting following his failure to land a role as an extra in The Godfather.
