The Weeknd reacts to Jenna Ortega's acting skills

Jenna Ortega is a stunning actress, and The Weeknd also confirms this as he gushed about her performance in the upcoming Hurry Up Tomorrow.

The Canadian singer, who has a studio album of the same name, recalled that during the shooting of the psychological thriller, he and his director, Trey Edward, were facing an issue over a scene they said was difficult to do.

"There was a scene where Trey and I looked at each other like, "On paper, this is just ridiculous — how is it going to translate on screen?

In this midst, Jenna stepped in. "Jenna brought so much depth to the character," The Weeknd admired, adding, "And she said, "I have an idea." She led that whole scene — none of it was rehearsed, and a lot of my reactions in it are not acting."

In other news, the 22-year-old who was shot to popularity through his role on Wednesday on Netflix is reflecting on how she is adjusting to her new-found fame.

"It's definitely an adjustment." she told MTV, adding, "she is very “grateful to be where she is.”

Hurry Up Tomorrow is set to hit the cinemas on May 16.
