Paris Hilton has shared uplifting news amid the devastation of the Los Angeles wildfires, which claimed her Malibu home.

The 43-year-old philanthropist announced on Instagram Tuesday that her nonprofit organisation, 11:11 Media Impact, has raised $800,000 in just 72 hours to support displaced families and their pets.

Moreover, Hilton wrote, “Let’s push to $1 million! Thank you to everyone who has shown your support for our city,” while encouraging further donations.

According to Daily Mail, Hilton has personally contributed $150,000 to GoFundMe’s Wildfire Relief Fund, providing immediate cash assistance to 150 families in Altadena.

Additionally, she emphasized the importance of this approach, by stating, “Cash assistance provides dignity and choice. Families know best what they need right now—whether it’s clothes, shelter, or medicine.”

In addition to her financial contributions, Hilton joined efforts with the Pasadena Humane Society to reunite a cat separated from its family by the Eaton Fire.

As per the publication, she also pledged to match donations up to an additional $100,000 and committed to volunteering in person.

While reflecting on her own loss, Hilton expressed gratitude for her family’s safety and extended her support to others affected by the fires by writing, “While I’ve lost my Malibu home, my thoughts are with the countless families who have lost so much more.”

Furthermore, the devastating fires have forced over 130,000 people to evacuate and have claimed at least 24 lives.
